Meditation can help to regulate your blood pressure

Meditation it is not a substitute for medication prescribed by your doctor and this should only be adjusted in consultation with your doctor.

Meditation can help lower your blood pressure over time in the following cases:

  • high due to stress
  • high due to anxiety and worry
  • by meditating and working with your doctor you may be able to reduce the amount of medication you take.

Meditation helps you relax, decreases stress levels and your heart beat reduces. These are all good for reducing your BP.

If you want to try and avoid high blood pressure, I recommend learning how to meditate and practising regularly for 3 months and monitoring your results.

If you are already on medication and would prefer not to have this increased, I would suggest giving meditation a try.
